Xander is driving me nuts this morning. I’ve been twittering about it – but, my annoyance is way more than 120 characters … He’s just in this, damn God-awful (read: “normal” three year old) mood today! He got up early (like 7:30am) and began whining right from there. We have a playgroup at 11 and I still have to pick up ice so I said “Okay bud, you have 5 minutes left to play your game then we’ve gotta change your diaper so we can go play!” to which he responds “NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAHHWHKLG:HDJKS:FDSLFBJDSBL!!!!! fhsdkldfs! HFI:DSHIU!”
What. The. Fuck?
I mean, okay – did he ignore the last WORD “PLAY” and just work with everything else? I think it’s SERIOUSLY time to CUT BACK on computer games and nintendo games. His disrespect to me is at a game high right now.
I couldn’t find the wipes, then found them finally upstairs – grabbed them then headed back down. But, Xander – who was helping me look threw a FIT since I didn’t let HIM get them. Meanwhile, I’m sure as hell not walking back upstairs. So, since he’s being a screaming banshee (how appropriate since it’s St. Patricks Day and aren’t Banshee’s an Irish thing? Lol) he gets a time out. 3 minutes. But, since I practically have to drag him into his room and I have to shut the door myself it goes to 4. The timer has gone off now, and he’s still tantrumming. God damn, I need some Starbucks.
And I want another one? Am I stupid?
My periods about to come, so maybe thank goodness it’s not “this” month that I got knocked up?
Sigh. Off to fix problems.

Breathe! and take control…
right with ya, girl. 7:30 is early? Try UP WITH THE FUCKIN’ SUN,SON. yeah…my boy’s an EARLY riser…and he’s only got ONE morning volume, too.
But like you, I KNOW what buttons to push to get him angry…oh, and get him docile. I’ve taken away all his toys before. And movies. And games. AND TV (which for him is the end all, be all). He isn’t allowed to touch the remote anymore either (that just GALLS him).
But he’s straightening out, bit by bit. It might suck for awhile while you’re teaching the lesson, but once the lesson’s learned, it gets better.
