Just Sitting

I’m sitting on the couch watching my 3 year old play Mario Kart (again) and listening to my hubby lightly snore on the couch next to me. He’s had a hard past few days and hasn’t gotten a lot of sleep, so I’m letting him nap. I am going to try and get the kiddo into the bath and reading mode myself tonight instead of waking up Alan to do it. He needs a break I think.

I made steak enchiladas for dinner tonight for us and a cheese quesadilla with veggies on the side for Xander. He’s stealing chips instead of eating his veggies though, monkey. The enchiladas turned out well considering I don’t care much for corn tortillas. I added enough sauce and cheese to cover the taste!

So much for letting sleeping hubby’s lay; Xander just jumped on his head and said “Wake Up!” Mean, mean baby.

I got enough sleep last night; I went to bed around 9:30pm. But then, Xander got up early, at around 7:45am and didn’t relax and watch cartoons and let me sleep; instead, he wanted to get up and paint!

I began the next Harry Potter book that I am reading the other day (Half-Blood Prince) and I’m already a few chapters in. I was going to wait to read it until after I watched the movie for “Order of the Phoenix” but then got the book. It winked at me while I was in the bathroom the other day (don’t YOU read in the bathroom?) and I started reading. I still haven’t watched “Order of the Phoenix” because I’m waiting for hubby to catch up (he’s in the middle of “Prisoner of Azkaban” right now).

I’m tired. And full of dinner, but now I want ice cream and I don’t think we have any. Blah.

  1. I know this isn’t the first time you’re reading it, right? Girl – I’m one of those complete nuts that stood in line for each book @ midnight! Except this last time – I had my husband go to work @ 11:30 and get me one. :)

I don’t like corn tortillas either [and I call myself Chicana!] but I love quesadillas!

  2. She won’t admit it, and will prolly kill me for tellin, but…It is! Though she has only been reading the series for like a month and is already up to book 6…and my girl don’t read!
