Holidays & Giving

I’m a giver. I’m the one who runs into the Disney store and comes out with a couple things for the Toys for Tots. I like doing Angel Tree also (where you pull a tag off a tree and essentially sponsor a child for Christmas).

So, I caught wind of a neat program called Car Angel where they accept car donations and also boat or trailer donations in order to help single mothers, homeless, teen and adult rehab, food distribution and orphans. They also create children’s DVD’s and anti-drug DVD’s.

Here is the trailer to their newest anti-drug movie is a documentary called D.O.P.E which covers the rise, fall and redemption of several of skate-boarding’s most influential players: Bruce Logan, Skate Legend Jay Adams, Christian Hosoi and 1977 World Champion Dennis Martinez.

This trailer contains scenes involving drug use, viewer discretion is advised.

This film, and all the films are given free to church groups, schools, civic groups and anti-drug groups. The children’s movies are available online for your viewing also. The car donations you provide helps to make these videos.

You can participate by visiting their website and filling out their form in order for you to get your vehicle towed. You print out your donation receipt and sign your title document to release your car to Car Angel Ministries.

If you have any questions, or need more information you can contact them by calling 1-800-227-2643.

  1. Tis the season for giving! Except when you try to give creamed corn to the city mission. They keep sending it back with threatening letters, then the next day I find my inbox filled with spam from corn fetish sites :/
