Hey! There She Is!

I’ve been missing from this blog. Sorry ’bout that! I’ve been in another world lately. Here are some updates …

School is going really well; I’m in a class called Website Management (along with a Lab class) and it’s all about hosting websites on your own server using Windows Server (in our case 2003) and IIS 6. It’s pretty neat and surprisingly pretty easy as well. I was a little worried because I had heard that the class was difficult – but I really wanted to learn Windows Server; so it’s GOOD. Like a challenge or something.

I had a job interview on Thursday with a local search engine positioning firm and I think it went well. I interviewed for a social media marketing position and I will hear back on Tuesday if I got the job or not. I have my fingers crossed for the positive.

Today – I will be attending one of the Hebrew National Picnics with a Purpose (this one being hosted by Carmen of Mom to the Screaming Masses¬†thanks to The Motherhood). I’m really excited about meeting some local bloggers along with supporting the local Seton House Shelters. Hopefully, the rain that has been forecasted doesn’t spoil the fun.

Edit @ 6:35pm: Well, the rains came and washed out the outdoor plans. Thankfully, Carmen was gracious enough to hold the “picnic” at her house! I dropped in for only a little bit so I could drop off my solitary jar of Ragu and say hello. Xander had fallen asleep in the car and I didn’t want to bring him out in the rain. I took a couple of the yummy Hebrew National hot dogs and awesome “margarita cupcakes” (which by the way — recipe?!!?) and said my “hello’s” and took off. Hopefully, the Seton House gets a lot of stuff from this event!!

Oh gosh – lemme add the fact that I recieved a cool t-shirt for Xander, coupons and a GRILL SET from the party! THANKS!!!!!

Check out the Flickr photo set!

  1. It was WONDERFUL to meet you – I just wish you could have stayed longer! The cupcake recipe is here: http://howtoeatacupcake.net/2009/05/mini-margarita-cupcakes-for-cinco-de.html
