Well – honestly, it COULD be worse – but since I am in a bad mood I’m sure I am exaggerating a bit …

So, today for the first time I believe I left my bags sitting at the Wal-Mart checkout. I rang my stuff up and realized that the pants I had grabbed for Xander rang up for $16 and change. The BIG sign over the pants in the boys section said they were on sale for $13. I took my Adderall and had coffee this morning – I KNOW that sign was there. I grabbed the pants from right under the sign.

I told the checkout lady this (nicely, since I am usually in a good mood in the mornings) and she looked at me like I was nuts. She said – “no, they are $16″ and I said “no, I swear I pulled them from under a sign that read $13″

She said “no, I don’t think so” so I said “well, um, could you please check on that?”

Three dollars isn’t a LOT of money – but dude, it’s THREE DOLLARS!

So, she wanders over to someone and asks them to go look. The person wanders to the back of the store and then comes back and says “no.” I was irritated but I was still thinking of getting the pants because Xander NEEDS dark pants for tomorrow. But, the cashier was then wandering around the checkout area looking at the tag on the pants mumbling. WTF? I say – “so, I imagined the sign?” and I get a confused look.

So I say – “just forget it – I’m going to Target where they have actual customer service!”

I walked out – leaving the diapers, gel inserts for my sneakers, milk and box of tissues at the checkout. I do feel bad because the only reason I had the tissues was because I NEEDED one – I had opened the box and grab two tissues out. I actually feel really bad about that now. Which makes me mad because seriously? So sure, I was wrong because I opened the box and then left it there. But customer service is severely LACKING at that Wal-Mart. Hell, MOST Wal-Marts (sorry Mom!)

I need to STOP going to Wal-Mart. I need to just check out the darn grocery stores that are local. I hate the fact that Wal-de-Mart is right across the main street. I wish Target was closer. They might charge a little more but the store is so much better.

So, um … if you happen to purchase a box of Wally brand tissues at the Pearl City store and it’s missing a couple tissues I apologize.

For the most part, I like to think I have my depression under control. I take Zoloft (lately, 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night) along with Adderall to help with my ADHD and apparent OCD.

So yeah, under control … that is – until a day or so before my period starts. Then, all hell breaks loose in my brain and all I want to do it sleep, sit, cry, scream, eat and freak out over everysinglelittlethingintheentirefuckinguniverse!

Ugh.

Tonight, I checked out two new shows on AMC – “Immortalized” and “Freakshow” – after watching (of course) a black and white episode of “The Walking Dead.”

I enjoyed both – but I did decide that I do not wish to learn how to actually CREATE taxidermy. I do however, still want to purchase a chipmunk or squirrel that I can dress up for each season and holiday.

I also had a fleeting interest in learning how to swallow swords.

Which went away quickly … Don’t worry …

But anyway … I found a cute squirrel on Regretsy (where else?) … Isn’t he cute?

It’s kinda rainy here today in Hawaii … So, between snuggling with my 2 year old Fairy Girl and doing some online work I am CLEANING! Dishwasher has already run (need to empty it and refill it) and the laundry is ready to be washed.

I also mopped the hallway! Yay! My goal is to finish straightening the living room and get the sink EMPTIED! I also need to make the 8 year old pick up the clean laundry off the laundry room floor and sort it into baskets to be folded and put away. He hates that shit. I love to torture him

Eating something food-like would probably be a good idea also.

For as long as I can remember, the political officers of the United States have regularly misused tragedy for their own causes. This is in reality just human nature to make the best of a situation but the real issue arises when that person takes a very serious situation and pushes through an agenda on the backs of small children. I deeply regret the tragic events involving recent active shooters and wish a speedy recovery to all involved. I wish that the communities worst hit by these events can move past these events with strength. Life gives us lemons every day; I just don’t expect them to come in the form of an active shooter. What I do expect is that no matter the lemon, we can find a way to make lemonade.

Disagree all you want – I don’t care. But I’m not debating this topic and I’m not going to “agree” with you.

If you don’t like guns, fine. You aren’t taking mine away. I’ll just be the one saving YOUR ass when the shit hits the fan. Don’t tell me that “they aren’t trying to take your legally acquired guns” – yes, “they” are. They might not be saying it NOW – but I strongly believe that this “gun control” ladder will come to that point.

The cast of Catching Fire is currently on Hawaii (Oahu) shooting scenes for the movie. Normally, with big movies the Navy Exchange or Moral, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) would be having a fan ‘Meet n’ Greet’ with cast members. For some reason – the Hunger Games cast isn’t having on.

The cast did a ‘Mall Tour” for the last movie – and Hawaii isn’t on the list. But why not? They are here anyway – why not do a meet n’ greet and meet up with some of the awesome military families stationed here on-island?

So, I can finally cross something off my “bucket list” – learning to knit!

I decided the other day (after seeing my neighbor pick up her crochet hook for the first time in a long time) that I would grab my needles and try to – again – knit SOMETHING. Took a few videos on YouTube and a few times ripping stitches off the needles and trying again (five times actually) but I got it! Granted, it’s reversed and dropped in a few places and I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to end up with in the end – but it is further than I’ve ever gotten with a knitting project!

So, I’m super DUPER pleased with myself!

First – I started to sew again and now I’ve picked up knitting!

I also vacuumed and mopped two rooms today, took off my pantry doors and removed a shelf! Maybe I won’t need that lobotomy after all!
