Seriously? It’s been a night …

Just found out that one of my close friends is living in a homeless shelter. I’ve saved his ass a bunch of times now – given him a car – etc and I just can’t save him anymore. I want to. I can’t.

Am watching a vblog from someone close to me basically trashing everything I believe in. It’s not common sense – it’s bigotry and close-mindedness. I’m so tired of being judged – even indirectly – by close-minded Christians.

I read another post from a Facebook friend talking about love being the basis of Christianity.

So why can’t we accept that “gay people” are people – people who LOVE other people.

Let’s stop worrying that the world is ending. Let’s stop freaking trying to convert and judge people. Let’s just live as well as we can and take care of our own. Our OWN.

Obama has done more than just get his kids a dog. He had the cajones to get off his ass – send in the “Best of the Best” and go shoot the shit outta some pirates. I’m sure that he will do it again until those pirates stop.

And BTW – Afghanistan was where this “war” began. I believe in the war in Afghanistan. Not the war in Iraq. I SUPPORT THIS PRESIDENT!

I’m depressed. Why do I watch this shit?

SPRING HILL — The car came up fast behind them, swerving down the hill on the dark lane, and there was nowhere for them to go.

The man, woman and their dog went left and right, but the car’s headlights seemed trained on them and then they were hit and in the air, tumbling. They landed and heard the car tear through a row of mailboxes along the street without curbs or sidewalks and then it kept going, and the night became quiet again.

“Jessica,” Joey Amoroso screamed. He couldn’t move and he couldn’t see in the blackness. He couldn’t hear her or his dog, and he didn’t know how long he laid there early Saturday morning, crumpled, yelling, before someone saw them and called 911, and the scene was lit in flashing, silvery light.

Spring Hill – A hit-and-run driver struck two people who were walking along a street early today, killing a woman and critically injuring a man, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Jessica Ann Lawrence, 27, and Joseph A. Amoroso were walking north along Monteverde Drive, near Killearn Lane, at about 12:40 a.m. when someone drove a vehicle up behind them and hit them, troopers said. The driver continued on and struck a row of mailboxes before fleeing in the vehicle, troopers said.

Lawrence, of 16600 Saguro Lane, died at the scene, troopers said. Amoroso was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa with critical injuries, the FHP said.

I knew Jessica in school. I was friends with her in Middle School, also in High School but we didn’t speak as much. Of course we lost touch after high school. I am so blown away to hear about her death. My heart stopped when I heard the name – I hate when this happens. May you rest in peace Jess – my heart is with you Joey and both of your families and your friends. You are all in my prayers!

I hope they catch the bastard who did this. Troopers recieved no description of the vehicle and are asking anyone with information to contact Cpl. Eric Bromiley at (727) 841-4181, ext. 112.

Even Apple is jumping onboard with their support of voting NO on California’s Proposition 8 (which outlaw’s gay marriage). The company issued the following statement on their website:

Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.

A person cannot help who they fall in love with – gay or straight, everyone deserves a chance to be married to the one they love. Did anyone “vote” to see if YOU could get married?? If you are a California resident please consider voting no this November on Proposition 8.

The following was a “Forward” I received in my email. I thought it was great and it was pretty apropriate timing since the debates are on right now (like, at this second).

I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00. My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000.00 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00. What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college – it’ll be there

Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car – create jobs

Invest in the market – capital drives growth

Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it…instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( ‘vote buy’ ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t. Sure it’s a crazy idea that can ‘never work.’ But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in and remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Bush also announced that a massive U.S. humanitarian effort was already in progress, and would involve U.S. aircraft as well as naval forces. A U.S. C-17 military cargo plane loaded with supplies landed in Georgia on Wednesday, and Bush said that Russia must ensure that “all lines of communication and transport, including seaports, roads and airports,” remain open to let deliveries and civilians through.

Defense Department spokesman Bryan Whitman said later that a second supply-laden C-17 would arrive Thursday and that an assessment team was to arrive soon in Georgia to determine other needs. The Pentagon also is preparing to send the hospital ship, the USNS Comfort, if needed, though it would take weeks to get to the region.

The administration also will review what military help is needed for Georgia’s now-shattered armed forces, Whitman said.
