Sigh of relief - I saw the doctor today and got some more ‘happy pills’ ~ yay!! Now I can feel normal again and start to get back into order again. Honestly, I already feel a little better seeing as though I have pills in hand. I also got to meet a new doctor today and decided that he shall be my new PCM - unfortunately, Tricare (as usual) said NO!!! - but I will keep requesting him anyway. So there. Early February I have an appointment at an actual psych clinic and will meet my new psych then.
But, anyway - I just wanted to let ya’ll know. Since I know you care and all ;0)

The following was spoken by Merlin Mann of 43 Folders fame @ Izeafest. It’s so incredibly simple - yet - totally works.
So, according to Merlin - here, in a nutshell, is how to blog:
Find your obsession. Every day, explain it to one person you respect. Edit everything, skip shortcuts, and try not to be a dick. Get better.
One of my "resolutions" should’ve been blog BETTER - because I know I’ve been totally gypping (?) my readers lately.

I guess I was supposed to like, post resolutions or something? I dunno … I’m not great with the planning of such posts. Here is the best planning/resolution post that I could muster.
In bullet form to save my brain from the ache:
Plans/Resolutions for 2009:
- Make resolutions and follow them!
- Make sure we’ve got our up-to-date car insurance information in the car. It’s difficult to prove insurance is valid if it’s sitting on the kitchen table!
- Clean out the van and put in a couple baskets for storage.
- Lose 60lbs by June - win the bet with Melissa & Angie (heh heh).
- Plan a budget and STICK TO IT!
- See a movie once a month - or plan a "Girls Night" and actually do it!
- Do more crafts and worksheets with the Kid.
- Have a "date night" once a month with the hubby.
- Take the dog for a walk more often.
- Stick to the cleaning chart more often - use Flylady more!
- Read the Bible (I resolve to do this each year and never get past one or two books).
- Find a church and attend.
- Maintain an "A" average in school.
- Meet at least two of my online friends offline. (I love doing this!)
- Try and attend at least one webmaster/blog conference in 2009.
- Spend LESS and thrift MORE!
- Try and call a far-away friend at least once a week to "catch-up" with them.
- Call my sister at LEAST once a month!
- Send my nephew tons o’stuff for holidays. (I’m a terrible slacker aunt).
Awesome. Now, what are some of your resolutions?

Hey ya’ll! I’ve mentioned in earlier blogs a couple of my girlfriends and I are beginning a weight loss bet this month (began a couple days ago) and I wanted to point you in the direction of my newest blog - Hot Mama in the Making over at blogspot! I will hopefully be updating it with weight loss, menus and stuff like that. One of the other girls has made a blog also - she is Melissa Gettin’ Fat Free! Hopefully, Angie gets on board and makes a blog also - we shall see. Wish us luck!
On the "budget" side of things - I just bought groceries for the next two weeks to the tune of $52.00 roughly. That’s including a huge 6lb roll of chopped meat and a large can of beans (kidney) for a nice big vat o’crock pot chili. I’ve gotta make sure we’ve got some Ramen because at least one meal this coming week includes Ramen (ramen, cubed chicken, some shredded carrots, some shredded cabbage -eh- and some cashews).
Got any healthy and cheap meal options for me? Hand me some good links to them!! I’d really appreciate it!
Oh - and just for fun; this blog post has been brought to you by Wholesale Insurance term life insurance quotes and the number nine!

People who don’t put their cart in the cart barn - when the cart barn is less than 3 feet away from your vehicle - deserve to have their vehicle AND themselves hit by said cart.
That is all.

Seriously …. I’ve begun 2009 with a bang! I’ve already pissed off my mom (I "hung up" on her on Yahoo the other day unintentionally) and now I feel so bad about it that I haven’t even called her to wish her a happy new year. I’ve spent the past two days either playing Sims or sleeping. Nothing else. NOTHING else. We’ve vowed to try and stick to our "budget" and we already went out to eat last night because I didn’t want to clean and then cook.
It’s raining. I get so "blah" when it rains.
ModtheSims2 is down right now due to maintenance. Bah!
I’m hungry - but I’m to lazy to do anything about it because that would require me to figure out what to make for the family also. They don’t enjoy Hot Pockets as much as I do.
Ugh .. that’s about all I’ve got right now. I just figured I would pop online and let ya’ll know I was alive, albeit buried in my blankie.
I hope to get some more "happy pills" soon.
I NEED to blog about New Years Eve - it was incredibly insane. Hubby blogged it a little - but we need to show you some pictures! Oy!

Long time no blog! Know why? I’ve been partaking in the joyous occasion of having family over for the holidays - thus - being social in real life instead of online. It happens. Did you miss me?
I got everything I wanted for Christmas (give or take) including a few new pairs of jammies, Guitar Hero Aerosmith (well, that was for the Kid), a foot spa, a food processor (yay foodies!) and a couple Harry Potter lego sets (hee hee …). The Kid got GH (really), a couple games for the GameCube, Mario Kart, a couple movies, clothes, a dinosaur, Rescue Heroes, a Batman, a Spiderman, and uh - I don’t know what else.
The family leaves tomorrow - they were fun to have around. I’m ready to be lazy again though - playing "hostess" stresses me out a tad. Alan goes back to work on Monday but I don’t start school again until the 5th so I’ve got a week to hang out with the Bug-boy and de-stress. New Years we are hanging out with our friends to watch the ball drop - so that will be all kinds of fun.
Oh: We signed a three-year contract with our house here. It’s a little odd to know that we will be here (right here) for another three years. Maybe by then I can unload our Jax house (and turn a profit). We will be getting a fence here (as per our new contract) but not new wood flooring. I think I may paint a little though - the black, blue and gray in the bathroom is a little on the ugly side. So is the mint green sponge paint in the hallway. *shudder*
Anyway, I’m going to go back to watching the family play Mario 2 on the laptop emulator on the television. Seriously, with all the new games they go "old school" - sheesh.

With all the darn drugs I am taking to knock out this awful cold & cough I have you would think perhaps there would be something for a headache involved? Nope! No such luck! So, I slept the day away after Xander and I got home from the playgroup kids Christmas party because I had a head splitting migraine. Yes - ALL DAY. I felt as though someone was taking a knife to my head right between my eyes. The only thing that made it tolerable was sleep. Then, when I realized my family would absolutely STARVE without me (yeah, right) I said - eff it I’m taking a Motrin. The only Motrin this chick has is Motrin 800 because you know, we’re a military family. You get Motrin 800 for everything around here. Nosebleed? Motrin 800! Appendectomy? Motrin 800? Just gave birth? Motrin 800! Gunshot wound to the lower glutes? Motrin 800! (Yeah, I think you go the point). So, since it works well for headaches - I took one. Within a 1/2 hour my headache was gone. Why the heck didn’t I take one earlier? Then at least I could’ve gotten stuff done today!
Aside from the headache the party was a lot of fun. Xander got a Moon Sand kit (thanks Erica!) and I bought my gift receiver some Color Wonder paper and markers. I’ve never bought it for Xander - news paper works just fine for us - but it looks pretty neat. I didn’t see anyone get any personalized books - but I did see lots of Littlest Pet Shop! There were a TON of kids there - it was pretty crowded, but I didn’t see much blood (only one!) and all the kids seemed to have a great time. That party marked my 1-year anniversary with the playgroup!

I decided today that one of my resolutions for the New Year would be to BE ON TIME. I’m hardly ever on time. For anything. Everyone knows it and they just accept it.
Add to that the old "Lose Weight" resolution that everyone makes. But this year will be different - this year I’ve got two partners in crime to help me out. My friends and I are going to be busting our butts trying to find our inner "Hot Mama" - because at least for me, my inner "Hot Mama" is currently hiding underneath about 90 pounds of fat.
At this rate - with my two friends kicking my ass I won’t even need any Decaslim to help me. Just support - and a gym membership - and some time to work out!
So - there are my two resolutions! What are yours?

It’s been crazy here the past few days. Not only have I been working on the house getting it ready for my sister in law and brother in law to visit - but there has also been an influx of holiday parties (two this past week). Add that to the fact that we are all still sick and you have a recipe for disaster. Needless to say not a whole lot has been getting finished around here.
As far as "gifts" go I’m about done shopping for everyone. Alan and I both got nice jackets BEFORE the holiday season (I got Anne Klein and he got North Face I believe) so darnit they count as "gifts" I think. I won’t go into what else was purchased because of course he reads this blog!
Xander is getting Guitar Hero (I know us "adults" will play it also!) another Wii game, a couple Game Cube games (purchased on super sale), some Rescue Heros (from thr thrift store), a ImagiNEXT dinosaur (again, from the thrift store), a couple Mario movies ($5 each at Toys R Us!) and a couple small things. Believe me - the Guitar Hero is the "BIG" gift this year. With the amount of money I am spending on Christmas he may not get the "BIG" thing for his birthday (I was hoping to get him a Power Wheels).
Yet - sometimes I would love to return it all to the store. I just cannot teach this kid to be GRATEFUL! He says please and thank you and such, but I worry that he won’t appreciate what we give him. I’m sure I drove my parents nuts when I was little with my own "gimmie gimmies" - and I wonder HOW they taught me to be grateful. Because I love to GIVE to people, and am very happy and grateful when I do receive. How do you teach your children to be grateful?
